Douwe Dijkstra is a professional senior graphic designer based in Sydney. Born and raised in The Netherlands, he relocated down under in 2003​ ​and now calls Australia home. Since arriving in Oz, Douwe has worked as a senior designer for renowned agencies such as Precinct and Rifle Media and is currently part of the team at Designate. He specialises in designing annual reports, financial transaction documents, corporate publications, identities and books.

 

With over 20 years experience in the communications industry he has created designs for clients including World Wildlife Fund, Doctors Without Borders, Brookfield Multiplex, Westpac, Macquarie Bank, St George Bank, Wesfarmers, FlexiGroup, CBRE, NPS Medicinewise, APA Group, Nine Entertainment, Australia Post, Qantm, Elk Petroleum and nib just to name a few.

 

Photography is a strong passion for Douwe. He picked up his first camera at the age of 12. Over the years his hobby has evolved from taking family snaps with his grandfathers camera, to creating black and white fine art in the digital age. He recently started an Instagram account @monochromevisions marking a new chapter in his photography journey.
